Starfleet Command has rerouted the George Washington to the Polaris system in hopes of helping rid the system of pirates that have been attacking Federation starships for a few months now. I guess Command hope seeing a Galaxy Class Dreadnought will make them think twice before they attack again.
We're still in the middle of finding the pirates, these guys know what their doing. We haven't found a single clue as to where their base is. What we do know is that they have a large fleet of Black Market ships under their command.
We never knew what was coming until they were on top of us! They've attacked the GW and we never saw it, their fleet is huge and they even have a few Federation ships. We got lucky this time, the USS Avenger pulled our asses out of the fire. I've decided to set course for Starbase 24 but after the beating we took i have to think we'd need a miracle to make it there.
We've all but made it to Starbase 24. After a few hours Rachael got the Cloak back online a few hours ago so we can at least make our way to Starbase 24 without being seen.
We've arrived at Starbase 24. Looks like the pirates have made their way here before us. I've decided to join the battle, seems Rachel has a few of the ship's systems working again.
The battle didn't go as well as planned, we managed to protect the USS Tolkien long enough for her to make her way out of Spacedock. Unfortunately we lost the George Washington.
As of 02:25 this morning, the crew of the George Washington... Or should i say former crew are on Downtime. A six Month period rest and relaxation that is ordered to all crew's that have just lost a ship. Having said that, i still have a few friends back at Starfleet HQ so with any luck we won't be waiting that long before we return to active service. Until that time, the crew and i are staying on Starbase 24. maybe we'll be of some use.
